The InfraGard Vermont Members Alliance (IVMA) is a public-private sector information cooperative aimed at increasing communication between Vermont-based organizations, Vermont governmental agencies (notably the Department of Public Safety Homeland Security Unit), and the federal government (including the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Dept. of Homeland Security) concerning the protection of the nation's critical infrastructures, such as local government, banking, food, water, utilities, transportation, and telecommunications. The IVMA is part of the nation-wide InfraGard Members Alliance. To learn more about InfraGard, see Public-Private Partnerships Changing the World.
The InfraGard Vermont Members Alliance, Inc. is a Vermont domestic non-profit corporation. IVMA is the Vermont chapter of the nation-wide InfraGard National Members Alliance (INMA), a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
We do not have any chapter meetings currently scheduled, but we are planning on two new initiatives for 2012. First, we are inviting speakers and hosts for live information-sharing webinars. Second, if individuals are interested in arranging small "regional" meetings around the state, the board will help out in any way that we can.
