Vermont InfraGard Chapter

January 2006 Meeting Announcement

DATE: Friday, 13 January 2006
1:00-3:00 p.m.

LOCATION: Champlain Room
Bolton Valley Resort
4302 Bolton Access Road
Bolton Valley, VT

AGENDA:

1:00-3:00 p.m.: Welcome and miscellaneous business

This will be a slightly more informal meeting that some in the past -- our Coordinator SA T.C. Fuller will give us an update on InfraGard and the FBI, and we hope to have at least one other guest from the FBI to give us an update and overview.

We will talk about 'business' for the coming year, including the IMA national boards decision to proceed with a Regional Representative for IMA -- this voluntary position will help coordinate IG chapters in each region and help as a liaison with the FBI regional coordinators. In our region, Jon Miller of Long Island IMA have been serving 'unofficially' in this role and has agreed to continue doing so for now -- assuming we all concur (no one else has stepped up and offered at this point).

Our last meeting was jam packed with excellent presentations, but the officers did get some feed back that folks wished there had been more time to network a bit with their colleagues, so this meeting will be sure to allow plenty of opportunity to do that.

This is also an opportunity for us to brainstorm a bit with TC about what direction we and the FBI would like to see the local organization take in the coming year; and talk about the things that are value-adds for us and the FBI, and how can we improve our outreach and education programs (we have talked about extending InfoSafe to local law enforcement, for instance). This will be an excellent opportunity to look ahead and make some exciting plans for the year ahead.

In addition, our host, Kevin Broderick, says that there are a number of good 'eating' opportunities on the mountain, so if some folks want to show up early for a lunch gathering, we could informally do that. And of course, it goes without saying that if you're on the mountain on Friday afternoon, you might as well bring a change of clothes and plan to do a few runs down before you leave!
