National Chapter update
1:30-2:45 — "Next Generation Network Security Threats -- What to Protect Against in 2008 and Beyond" (Ken Pappas, Top Level Networks)
This educational session - not a sales pitch - will focus on discussing how today's technologies are failing and about the next generation of network threats. Ken will also discuss how to proactively protect against these attacks.
2:45-3:30 — "Vermont Cyber Table Top Exercise Wrap-Up" (Capt. Chris Reinfurt, Vermont Homeland Security)
Chris will lead a brief discussion about how the Cyber TTX went and the role that Vermont InfraGard played in the planning, execution, and review of the process. As a result of that exercise, there are a couple of open issues that Chris would like to discuss. First, how do we can get important cyber-related information to IT stakeholders and what role can InfraGard play in that? Second, what role can InfraGard play in assisting the state build an improvement plan based upon the TTX outcomes?
3:30-4:00 — Chapter elections
We have three officer positions that actually expired at the end of 2007. The terms of these three positions goes through the end of 2009. Please contact any officer for additional information on what the roles require. If you would like your name on the ballot, please contact Chapter Secretary Gary Kessler.
